A safe, stable home is a basic human right and the foundation of strong families and strong communities. Too many DC residents are priced out, displaced, or locked out of homeownership and the chance to build generational wealth.

I will work to expand pathways to homeownership by increasing first-time homebuyer support, boosting down-payment assistance, addressing credit barriers, and supporting community-based lending. I will also invest in affordable housing development, protect tenants from unfair practices, and strengthen homelessness-prevention efforts. Everyone deserves a place to call home, and together we can make that a reality across all eight wards.
